How do I change the system restore point?

Suggestion 1

The system restore point is the computer configuration that will be restored when you use System Restore feature to rescue your computer from problem, which have occurred since the point in time set in the System Restore feature, when the computer was functioning properly.

Obviously, you will set the System Restore point when the computer is functioning properly in every respect. The advantage in using a recent point is that you will not wipe out useful changes.

This is also a good first step, if you plan to make changes to the Registry, which you are uncertain about making, as you can revert to the restore point to correct problem that occur.

To create a restore point,

go to the Start menu

select Help & Support

there click on System Restore (Undo changes to your computer with system restore)

then choose Create a restore point

the System Restore wizard will guide you through the steps
