Users of health sites (and all sites for that matter), other than medical journals sites, need to be cautious about what information they provide and which sites they use. Security issues are a factor in Internet sites obtaining information about the users because leaky browser software might inadvertently allow personal information to be captured. Banner advertising can also gathers personal information without Internet surfers being aware that it's happening. You should be aware that Internet sites of unethical host can often obtain your identity even if you do not register with the site. |
