The Clipboard Whenever you use the standard Windows clipboard to cut and paste, only one item may be placed onto the clipboard at a time. Thus, copying an object to the clipboard deletes the clipboard's previous content. Microsoft Office 2000 is widely publicizing it's "improved clipboard" which now allows the clipboard to store a paltry 12 clips and offers very little additional functionality. However, with ClipCache installed on your system, this powerful utility sits quietly in the system tray, monitoring all clipboard activity. ClipCache automatically saves clipboard content so that the clips may then be retrieved minutes, hours or weeks later. Clips can be organized into groups. Text clips can be edited on the spot using any of the many handy cleanup functions available. There are no limits on the number of clips ClipCache can store and organize for the user, other than the usual disk space and memory requirements. Four Utilities In One ClipCache Plus offers so much more than simply capturing the clipboard content. It includes the following powerful features:
Easy To Use Unlike many other clipboard extenders ClipCache adopts a standard Windows look and feel (drag and drop, property pages, context menus) and is highly intuitive. ClipCache has been designed for various types of users. Those that wish to only navigate the clip history by the keyboard, and those that prefer to use the mouse. Text Cleanup A Cleanup Text dialog box allows multiple formatting operations (see below) to be performed in one-click. Your favorite cleanup settings can be saved as pre-sets for later use and are available for quick and easy on the toolbar. Text clips may also be formatted in many ways:
QuickPaste pastes automatically into the most recently used application. While FormPaste can paste automatically into the most recently used application and then tab to the next field of that application, ready to paste the next item - handy for filling in forms. If AutoPaste is enabled, then everything copied (from any application) to the Windows clipboard, will automatically be pasted into a chosen target application. Ideal for re-directing or collating snippets of information. ClipMenu is a popup menu that contains all your clips. The ClipMenu appears when the ClipMenu hotkey is pressed, you navigate the menu like any other menu, except each menu item represents clip and each sub-menu is a group. Selecting the menu item will paste that clip into the program you are working in. QuickSelect Allows rapid navigation of the previous or next clip. The current clip is displayed as a tool-tip just under the mouse pointer. The QuickSelect tool-tip appears when you press the QuickSelect hotkey.
